Identifying Bed Bugs

Before you decide to start treating your home, take the time to make sure you actually have bed bugs. Here are some easy ways to make sure you've got them.

You see droppings – bed bugs are often identified by their droppings. These will be tiny specks or smears of yellow/brown on your sheets, mattress, box spring and pillow. It can be hard to tell at first but if you change all your bedding to white material and check the next day, you should be able to see it.

You see the bugs themselves – usually found under your sheets and on your mattress, a typical adult bed bug is flat, very small but visible and can be a variation of brown, yellow and red. It can be quite disturbing to find them but it's a sure way identify them positively.
